The tōtara tree.

Stands strong.

It grows.

And get’s stronger.

When Matariki arrives, Rangi cries.

Tāwhiri makes the wind blow.

The tōtara is cold.

He feels the true cold of Winter.

Tama-nui-te-rā comes out to play.

Rangi’s tears still fall.  

The tōtara’s leaves grow.

He greets Spring.
